Peptide Reference Directory: Names and Documentation

This directory explains names and chemical-reference fields for the peptide listings in the Astra catalog. It provides factual terminology and documentation questions, without health, weight-loss, recovery, or performance claims.

Start with the full compound name

Compare the exact chemical form, sequence or structure, and label units. A public database entry and a published study describe their own reference material. Neither verifies the contents, purity, or identity of a commercial batch.

Dedicated references are available for tirzepatide, retatrutide / Reta, MOTS-c, BPC-157, and GHK-Cu.

Epithalon / Epitalon

PubChem records Epitalon under CID 219042 and includes Epithalon as a synonym. Its reference sequence is Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly, abbreviated AEDG: four amino-acid residues. That sequence and a label quantity in milligrams answer different questions. The database identity does not verify a supplied sample.

Ipamorelin

PubChem identifies ipamorelin under CID 9831659, with the reference formula C38H49N9O5. The formula refers to the recorded structure. Confirm whether a supplied material is represented by that structure or another chemical form; a peptide name alone does not establish the counterion or total material composition.

Catalog listings: Ipamorelin 10mg

Reference: PubChem: ipamorelin.

KPV

KPV abbreviates lysine-proline-valine, a three-residue peptide. A published analytical paper describes an HPLC method for KPV; that publication is a reference for the authors’ method, not proof that an Astra batch underwent that test. A report would need its own sample identifier, method, and results.

Catalog listings: KPV 10mg

Reference: Published KPV analytical-method reference, PMID 25298219.

Selank

PubChem records Selank under CID 11765600 with the reference formula C33H57N11O9. Match the exact record and chemical form when reviewing a specification. Chemical identifiers describe structure; they do not establish effects, suitability, or sample purity.

Catalog listings: Selank 10mg

Reference: PubChem: Selank.

Semax

PubChem’s Semax record, CID 9811102, represents the seven-residue sequence Met-Glu-His-Phe-Pro-Gly-Pro, abbreviated MEHFPGP. A separate acetylated or otherwise modified peptide requires its own specification. Shared name fragments are not sufficient evidence that two materials have identical structures.

SS-31 / Elamipretide

PubChem lists SS-31 among the synonyms for elamipretide, CID 11764719, with the reference formula C32H49N9O5. Use both names when locating the reference, then confirm the supplied chemical form. A synonym match is a starting point for documentation, not a laboratory identity result.

Catalog listings: SS-31 10mg

Reference: PubChem: elamipretide.

PT-141 / Bremelanotide

PubChem associates PT-141 with bremelanotide, CID 9941379, and gives the reference formula C50H68N14O10. A record for a reference structure does not verify a catalog batch or equate it with a finished pharmaceutical product. Check chemical form, label units, and batch documentation separately.

Catalog listings: PT-141 10mg

Reference: PubChem: bremelanotide / PT-141.

Melanotan naming

The reviewed Astra description identifies its Melanotan listing as Melanotan II. PubChem’s melanotan-II record has CID 92432 and reference formula C50H69N15O9. Keep the complete identifier, including the numeral, when comparing references; do not infer a chemical identity from “Melanotan” alone.

Catalog listings: Melanotan 10mg

Reference: PubChem: melanotan-II.

Tesamorelin

PubChem records tesamorelin under CID 16137828, with reference formula C221H366N72O67S. It also contains separate acetate records. These entries show why a supplier should specify the chemical form rather than copying a formula from a loosely matched name. No chemical form for an Astra batch is verified by this directory.

CJC-1295 No DAC: clarify the modifier

Astra’s catalog explicitly labels this item “No DAC.” The original CJC-1295 characterization describes a chemically modified peptide with a reactive group used in albumin conjugation. Its specification should not be silently transferred to a listing marked No DAC. Request the exact sequence, modifications, and chemical form before assigning a molecular formula or mass.

TB-500: specify the peptide fragment

An analytical publication identified an acetylated thymosin beta-4 fragment in a preparation named TB-500. A fragment and the full-length parent peptide are different references. The publication does not identify Astra’s material; its exact sequence and terminal modifications require a supplier specification and matching analytical evidence.

Catalog listings: TB-500 10mg

Peptide blends and catalog names

CJC / Ipamorelin Blend combines CJC No DAC and ipamorelin. Wolverine combines BPC-157 and TB-500. Check the product specification for the individual component amounts in these blends.

Glow 70 commonly refers to a three-peptide blend containing GHK-Cu 50 mg, BPC-157 10 mg, and TB-500 10 mg, totaling 70 mg per vial. The 70 mg figure is the combined amount of the three components, not 70 mg of each ingredient or a concentration in mg/mL. Formulation specifications and batch-specific analytical test results are separate information.

Testing availability and interpretation

Astra Biolabs does not currently offer lab reports for the peptide listings covered here. No testing result for another item should be inferred for a peptide listing.

A milligram label is not a chromatographic purity percentage or an identity test. A blend total does not establish the amount of each ingredient. Read the COA checklist and analytical-methods guide when reviewing documentation.
