GHK-Cu: Chemical Identity and Documentation

GHK-Cu refers to a copper complex of the peptide glycyl-histidyl-lysine. This page explains the chemical terminology and documentation questions behind the name. It makes no claims about skin, hair, healing, health, or performance.

GHK and the copper complex

GHK abbreviates the three amino-acid residues glycine, histidine, and lysine. The peptide and its copper complex are different chemical references. PubChem lists prezatide copper under CID 71587328, with synonyms including copper tripeptide-1 and GHK copper.

The PubChem record also links the parent peptide glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine. When comparing references, check whether the record describes the peptide alone or a copper-containing structure.

Why the exact chemical form matters

A reference formula and molecular weight belong to the particular structure represented in a database. They should not be copied into a product specification without confirming the supplied material’s chemical form. Request a specification identifying the material, any salt or counterion, and the basis used for stated quantities.

Reading a 500mg listing

A label quantity does not establish identity, concentration, purity, or copper content. Those are separate questions. A quantity in milligrams also does not describe a concentration unless a volume and the measurement basis are specified.

Our analytical-testing guide explains why identity, purity, and assay cannot substitute for one another. Use the COA checklist when a matching report is available.

Documentation status

Astra Biolabs does not currently offer a lab report for its GHK-Cu listing. This general reference does not verify a batch, assert a purity percentage, or establish sterility or suitability for any human or veterinary application.

See the GHK-Cu listing, the research-use policy, and the Research Library. Contact Astra Biolabs for questions about listing documentation.
